Vikings shut out Gladiators

Vikings secure their top position in the Norwegian series with a 19-0 win over Kristiansand Gladiators. For a second game in a row they allowed no points on the board.

Strong Safety #1 Martin Ofoghi knocked out several passes deep down the field

Oslo, Nor. The second game of the season at Frogner Stadium showcased a great Vikings defence. For the second game in a row they allowed no points on the board.

Fear none respect all. Oslo Vikings knew that they would face a good team from the south. Strenghtened by several american and ex- Viking and Eidsvoll players they came well prepared for the game.

Vikings started the game slow on offence putting only six points on the board in the first quarter after a good run up the middle by #7 Vegard Tysse. The extra point attempt failed.

The game moved back and forth for the entire 2nd and 3rd quarter before #10 Mehmet Sezer caught a great 30 yard pass up the middle and totally changed the game modus for the Vikings.

#8 Brandon Weekes turned on the turbo in the last quarter and brought down 2 long pass TDs from #2 Derek Mann to secure the win.

Viking veteran #6 Hans Erik "Homer" Sjetnan stepped up on defencive line replacing an injured #63 Christian Paulsboe and joined what must be the best defence in the country so far.

Vikings turn their focus on the battle for Oslo that will take place this upcoming Sunday at Jordal kunstgress, 17.00 pm.

**On another note we greet another little Viking berserk into our family. 24/7 Viking warrior Garry Fraiser and his wife became parents to a little boy this week. Mr Fraiser organized his week and put in fantastic effort in a weekend of voluntary work with a football game in the middle of it. Big up!**
